Dec 07, 2017 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) --

Australia's deputy tax commissioner Jeremy Hirschhorn is hopeful that Chevron will start to pay tax in a few years' time. Hirschhorn was commenting on the release by the Australian Taxation Office of data on the tax affairs of over 2,000 of the nation's largest companies for 2015-16. The list reveals that neither Chevron, Exxon or Shell paid any tax in that year, and that more than 60 per cent of firms in the energy and resources sector paid no tax..
