USDA-MS: Minneapolis Weekly Feedstuffs Report

Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, December 5, 2017
**All prices are quoted per ton, unless otherwise noted. **

Feedstuffs were mostly mixed this week. Demand and trade were moderate.

Oilseeds:
   The Januay Soybean Meal futures closed 17.50 higher at 343.30, March closed 16.90 
higher at 346.30. The January Soybean Oil futures closed 63 points lower at 33.50 
cents per pound, March closed at 33.71 cents per pound. The Truck delivery of high 
protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 15.50 to 16.50 higher from 303.30-315.30, the 
basis was 1.00 to 2.00 lower from 28 to 40 under the January futures. Linseed Meal, 
34 pct protein was steady to 15.00 higher at 215.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota 
area. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was 5.00 to 15.00 higher from 
160.00-215.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Canola Meal was 17.90 higher at 
228.30, the basis steady at 115.00 under the January Soybean Meal futures. Soybean 
Oil in Minnesota was 5 to 38 points lower from 33.00-33.25 cents per pound; the basis 
had no comparison from 25 points to 50 points under the January futures.

Animal Protein: 
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein steady to 5.00 lower from 195.00-230.00; Pork 
ranged from 270.00-285.00. Yellow Grease was 100 to 200 points lower from 20.00-22.00 
cents per pound. Choice White Grease was 50 to 150 points lower from 22.00-24.50 
cents per pound. Feather Meal was ranged from 380.00-455.00. Blood Meal ranged from 
575.00-715.00; Pork ranged from 680.00-800.00.

Millfeeds:
  Wheat Middlings were steady from 65.00-90.00. The Sacked Bran was steady at 24.00 
cwt.

Bids/Offers prices are bulk per ton, in carlots unless specified. Animal ingredients 
are delivered MPLS, other ingredients are FOB.
